Great Week

Had a wonderful week off from place that helps pay my bills a wonderful Easter Sunday with family and a very productive writing flow.  Now to prepare to get back to the grind of things.  Bills still need to be paid and healthcare is definitely also needed. Have an amazing week ahead one and all...  :)

Easter Poem

Without Easter
Without Easter,
there would be no hope of heaven.
Without the hope of heaven,
there would be no repentance,
no personal transformation,
no attempt to follow biblical principles.
Without Easter,
the world would be in chaos
and darkness.
Jesus’ death and resurrection
means we can be reborn,
to live better, to do better,
to shine light into the shadows.
Hallelujah!
Happy, Happy Easter.

Happy Good Friday

Make Jesus your best friend. With faith, let Him guide and direct you in all you do. It’s guaranteed to work that way.

Love

Just saying that "I love you" doesn't
     Mean a thing at all
For loving words fly like the birds
     When they hear Winter's call.

Love is a thing that proves itself
     A thousand times a day
In simple little things you do
And the little things you say.

Love is a thing called scarifice,
     A tonic when you're blue.
Love is the joy of doing things for
     Someone dear to you.

Confused about Love Poem

When we are confused about love we can work to become more self aware. We can then look inwards to find direction. Every experience that we have is encoded in our brains. This is certainly true from the day we are born, and many people believe that we also have access to past life experiences.

What is the purpose of filing away all that data? Although we are unaware of it, our unconscious dictates many important life decisions such as who we choose to love. Our unconscious has access to all of these memories. When we are confused about love we can work to bring awareness to the memories that are dictating our decisions, we are then able to make conscious choices regarding our life partners.

Great Lessons

Dedicated to every Mommy and all the women who do so much to support their husbands, brothers, male cousins and all men to make their/our lives better each day! Happy Great and not so Great Women's Day!!!

Burned Biscuits - A lesson we all should learn from.

When I was a kid, my Mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. I remember one night in pa...rticular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my Mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!

All my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my Mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that ugly burned biscuit. He ate every bite of that thing...never made a face nor uttered a word about it!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my Mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said, "Honey, I love burned biscuits every now and then."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Mom put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides--a little burned biscuit never hurt anyone!"

As I've grown older, I've thought about that many times. Life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each others differences is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today...that you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of of someone higher. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket---keep it in your own."

So, please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burned one will do just fine.
And PLEASE pass this along to someone who has enriched your life--I just did!

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

"Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil--it has no point.

An Introduction to Romance Troupe

Staying busy and extending yourself to many other projects can keep one away for a while. With my personal writing, reviews for Satin Sheets Romance and commitments made to others I have had a very, very productive new year.  Can't believe three months have almost passed by and Spring is just days away.

Being that Spring is my favorite time of year I am very much looking forward to putting this gruesome and bitter Winter behind.  I hate the cold, but love the snow, go figure.  Anyway, I am back and ready to keep up with primary blog more often and am truly happy to introduce our new group and community forum, Romance Troupe.

This group is intended for beginning authors assisting and sharing views, techniques and most of all their knowledge with other new authors alike.  The Romance Troupe page and RT Blog offers, giveaways, blog-hops and author spotlights, so check us out and like and or follow our page to learn more.
